Battu lors de la 1ère journée par le RSSB Tigers, Al Ahly Ly devait rebondir face au Petro de Luanda. Le club libyen s’est incliné pour la 2ème fois consécutive. Champions en 2024, les Angolais menaient à la pause (52-40). Ils vont garder la main au 3ème quart-temps (81-63).
Al Ahly Ly essaie de recoller au score dans le 4ème quart-temps. Mais, la réaction est tardive et Petro l’emporte (104-90), grâce aux 27 points de Childe Dundão, MVP du dernier Afrobasket.
